What is the Winter Stay™ program at Westgate Assisted Living?
Winter Stay™ is a short-term, seasonal assisted living program in Omaha, Nebraska. It allows adults age 55+ to enjoy a comfortable, maintenance-free apartment with meals, housekeeping, and social events included during the winter months without requiring a long-term contract.
Do I have to sign a long-term lease for a Winter Stay™?
No. Winter Stay™ is designed specifically as a short-term seasonal option so seniors can avoid winter hazards like snow shoveling and isolation without committing to a multi-year contract.
What services are included in the Winter Stay™ package?
Each Winter Stay™ package includes three chef-prepared meals daily, weekly housekeeping, all utilities, medication management, emergency alert pendants, scheduled local transportation, and full access to community events and amenities.
What happens if I decide to stay permanently after winter?
After six months, if you choose to transition to full-time assisted living, Westgate Assisted Living will grant your permanent residency and assess the community fee at that time.
Is Westgate Assisted Living open to residents outside of Omaha, Nebraska?
Yes. We welcome residents from across Nebraska, including Omaha, NE, Ralson, NE, La Vista, NE, Papillion, NE, Bellevue, NE, Elkhorn, NE, Gretna, NE, and Council Bluffs, IA.
