Kim DeWerff brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as System Administrator at Omega Senior Living, where he has been an integral part of the team since 2021. With a career in Information Technology that spans over two decades, Kim’s background is both diverse and robust. His IT journey began in 1997 when he served in the United States Marine Corps as an IT Manager and Systems Engineer, laying the foundation for a career marked by technical excellence and leadership. Following his military service, Kim held key positions such as Systems Engineer for Smartronix and IT Director and Chief Information Officer at Affiliated Acceptance Corporation.
Before joining OSL, Kim served as the Director of Operations and Shelter Advocate and Manager at Union Rescue Mission of Wichita, where he dedicated his time to helping men overcome homelessness. This unique blend of IT and human services experience gives Kim a holistic perspective on problem-solving and leadership. His academic achievements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies and a Master’s Degree in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University, further enhancing his ability to navigate the complexities of business management and technology.
At Omega Senior Living, Kim plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of technology across the corporate office and the many communities OSL serves. He handles everything from internet and server management to computer security, email systems, networks, data privacy, IT service management, telecommunications, and more. Kim’s extensive background in Information Technology and Business Management makes him a vital asset to OSL, enabling him to manage the intricate and essential tech infrastructure that supports the company’s mission of providing exceptional care.
